WET MIXING
The bonding additives are added to the dry mixer in measured
quantities and ground to a paste. This paste or wet flex, is transferred
to the briquetting press for making briquettes.

CONCENTIRCITY TESTING
The concentricity tester is used to check the concentricity of
the flux coating with respoect to the core wire. The tester has
a "V" shaped knife edges anvil on the base of a microscope, over
which the electrode as kept and rolled. The concentricity values
are read through microscope.

SLUG PRESS
In the briquetting press, the freshly mixed, cooling filex is
compressed and compacted into briquettes i.e., in a form convenient
and ready for loading into the extrusion press.

HIGH SPEED BRUSHING & TIPPING
The main body is of all-welded steel. Since the machines is heavy,
it requires no foundation. The main conveyor consists of two narrow
rubber belts running on cast ironwheels. Electrodes from the magnetic
pull-out belt strike the spring-loaded plate and fall on to the
narrow rubber belts. A corrugated rubber belt aligns the electrodes
parallely. Two separate lateral aligning belts positions the electrodes
before brushing and chambering. Operating speed 100 to 1000 electrodes
perminute depending on capacity.

BAKING OVEN
Of robust construction, with a rigid steel shell, the oven consists
of a drying chamber, overhead heating elements, blowers for horizontal
air circulating and automatic temperature control system. The
space between the doubelwalls of the oven is packed with grade
insulation material. Thermostats protect the oven against over
heating.
